At our request, he also identified other areas that could become potential problems and divided our bid to separate the needed repairs from the recommended repairs. I?m waiting to hear if the repair person will be here Saturday or next week. As a quick fix Jonathan was kind enough to put some mortar in the broken brick. With rain coming hopefully we can determine if that is causing the leak or if there is something else we can?t see.

Went above and beyond to match existing brick, although house was built in 1987, Great communication with project manager and crew throughout the repair process. When work was completed, you could not tell there had every been damage and the worksite showed no signs the crew was there. I hope that I don't have a need to contact them again; but if I do, DFW Brick Repair will be my go-to source. I am completely satisfied with their work on our home and would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Comments: I had some brick pulling away from the house next to the garage door. Jonathan came out and provided an estimate. I thought it was steep, but after some back and forth we came to an agreement. The next day his crew showed up about 30 minutes late but did a great job with the brick. Part of what I wanted was for them to caulk where brick met wood, but apparently they didn't know they were supposed to do that and didn't have anything but clear caulk with them. I decided to do the caulking myself and saved some money. All in all, DFW Brick Repair did a good job and I would hire them again - at the right price.

I had a mailbox that needed repair, not replacement after a van backed into it shifting it about 12 inches off its base and created several cracks in the mortar.. Comments: I was happy with the mail box repair. There was a number of holes in the mortar to be fixed. The wife pointed out that it looks like a repair job, instead of looking original. Her objections are: 1) mortar too light, they tested the color and it looked correct, but it was cold and I guess it wasn't dry. (2) the mortar is flat with the top of the bricks, instead of a little lower from the top and concave like the original. I is probably easy to get this effect with a new build than a repair. I was just happy that I could get someone to fix it quickly before the rains. This summer I may try to scrape out some of the cement to make it look concave like the rest. All in all I think they did a good job. My wife would have been happier if one could not tell that it had been repaired. Sometimes that is asking for the moon. Repairing a mail box mortar is probably as hard as repairing a scratched paint on an old car. I'm usually pickier that my wife, but this time she surprised me. Usually, she is happy if I'm happy, but not this time.

As we walked around the house, Dan explained how the problems came about, the process to repair, matching the old mortar, etc. He provided an estimate before he left breaking out the cost to repair the back of the house because we weren't sure we could budget the cost of the entire exterior in the current month. The estimate was so reasonable we went with the entire house. Tony was the foreman on the job and arrived a little early to get set up to begin at the scheduled time. Impressive. It only took them one day to do the repairs. The mortar was matched almost perfectly. the replaced bricks were set in perfectly. I walked about during the day, asking questions. Somtimes pointing out a spot I thought would look better if they added it to the repairs. Tony was extremely cooperative and did the extra things I asked him to. Evelyn and I did the final walk around together and we both we very impressed by the workmanship and the thorough clean up after the work was completed. The repair work Sam did was excellent and he was great about explaining what he did. Although this type of work isn't inexpensive, the cost was less than the other companies who gave me quotes. Comments: Hired to repair several minor cracks in the brickwork on my home and to rebuild a crumbling brick planter box attached to the house. Arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled. Quality was excellent. Only issue was a minor problem with the planter box that was noticed after the work was completed. They corrected the issue, but it took numerous calls with messages left on a recording over several days to finally reach someone. Once contacted they came right out to correct the issue satisfactorily. In their defense, the calls were placed during July 4 holiday week.
